Tellus has a modular architecture, following Hyperledger design principles. So it can work very well on testing/development environments as well as production setups.
The key concepts of its architecture are:
- Tellus Admin Console: it is the web console you use to design your business network. It is available at tellus.worldsibu.com and you only need an internet connection to get started.
- Tellus Engine: a Tellus Engine (also known as a Tellus Instance) is a lightweight container that does all the heavy lifting for you to enjoy the benefits of what you designed with the Admin Console. It connects to your blockchain networks, gathers endorsed transactions, connects to your CouchDB, and handle all the cryptography.
- You usually connect your application to the blockchain through the Tellus Engine APIs.
- Its REST-based interface makes it easier for a CRM, ERP, or any other system to integrate with the blockchain.
